Ankita is a professional social worker from St. Xavier's University, Kolkata, with a strong foundation in documentation, reporting, and grassroots research. She brings deep expertise in working with adolescent girls, women, and children, shaped through diverse internships, rural engagement, and fieldwork. A passionate climate and gender advocate, she has delivered participatory trainings to adolescents and frontline teams and actively shares her insights as a panelist on gender and climate issues. A Climate Champion under the Young India Fellowship and a Nycc Fellow, Ankita co-founded Asmita on June 19, 2023, alongside six like-minded feminist leaders, driving intersectional community-led change.
