SUMMARY:Awareness on Prevention of Drug Abuse
DESCRIPTION:The youth of today are the torch bearers of tomorrow. A nation’s development largely depends on how vibrant\, energetic and hardworking its youth is. But Drug Addiction has become a major issue of our society and the young adults have become its prime target. To address this issue\, Agadhbodh Foundation has joined hands with Department of Home\, Prison\, and Disaster Management\, Government of Jharkhand to host campaigns among the youth groups of Jharkhand on the ‘Prevention of Drug Abuse’. \nPrevention of Drug Abuse  \nThe organization is working on full swing\, organizing awareness programmes through quiz competitions\, nukkad naatak\, movie screenings\, focus group discussions\, etc. in various schools and colleges of Jharkhand. We are also providing free counseling and medical aid to the ones in need. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

SUMMARY:DRISHTI’( a free eye screening of underprivileged students)  Initiative
DESCRIPTION:Today’s lifestyle\, dietry patterns\, constant exposure to computer\, mobile and TV screens  have taken a toll on people’s eye health. Agadhbodh Foundation recognized this rampant issue and in collaboration with Vision Spring\, the Foundation organized free eye check up camp for government school and college students of Ranchi\, Silli\, and Patratu. In the pilot phase of the programme\, 5000 students got their eye checked and around 1500 were in need of glasses\, which was provided free of cost. \nDRISHTI’ Initiative\n\n\n\nThe Foundation has collaborated with PVUNL (NTPC- CSR) and conducted free eye check up of 2500 government school students of Patratu\, out of which 500 received free eyeglasses. \nRanchi Women’s College joined the initiative and the Foundation extended its helping hands to 500 students at Ranchi Women’s College out of which 125 received free eyeglasses. \nMoreover\, PREJHA Foundation gave us the opportunity to conduct eye check up camp at ITI Kaushal College\, Ranchi where 150 students benefitted from the initiative and 25 received free eyeglasses. \nThis is just the beginning\, and Agadhbodh Foundation is looking for more such collaborations in future and is ready to expand the ‘DRISHTI’ initiative to a much larger level. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n

SUMMARY:Health\, Hygiene and Mental Wellbeing
DESCRIPTION:RAWS has signed MoU with Sukhibhava (Bangalore based social development organization) for a pilot outreach project Hello Saheli based on Menstruation Hygiene and Sexual & Reproductive Health for Women and girls. Hello Saheli is a Free Tele-Gynecology Services in which our Helpline Assistants are able to connect callers to an accredited healthcare professional and facilitate a tele-health consultation to address clinical health concerns. Agadhbodh Foundation joined hands with the above mentioned organizations to reach the target audience. \nHealth\, Hygiene and Mental Wellbeing  \nCovid 19 outbreak undoubtedly affected the physical health of people but it also took a toll on people’s mental health. Loss of job\, shortage of money\, loss of near and dear ones affected people badly. Realizing the problem\, Agadhbodh Foundation organized various mental health sessions in government schools and colleges of Jharkhand. Our volunteers tried to bust the myth surrounding mental health\, taught them techniques to manage stress\, anxiety and depression\, and suicidal impulses. We identified people who were in need of clinical aid and sought help from the efficient psychiatrists and counselors of RINPAS and CIP free of cost. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

SUMMARY:Agadhbodh Emergency Response – Project Covid-19 Relief
DESCRIPTION:Agadhbodh Foundation Projects: \nThe horrors COVID 19 pandemic is not unknown to anyone. Amidst rising infections\, loss of job\, lockdown\, deaths in family\, the underpriviledged faced the worst brunt. Agadhbodh Foundation with Mission Badlao extended their support and distributed ration and other essential things to disadvantaged people of Gumla\, Ranchi \, West Singhbhum and Simdega. We worked hard to mobilize the fund and received help from many generous souls. Our team members educated people of the remotest areas about the need to maintain personal hygiene amidst rising infections and taught them corona appropriate behavior. We also distributed free hand sanitizers and face masks and taught them the basics of self isolation in case they catch infection. With the kind help of local NGOs\, TISS alumni network\, and volunteers we brought back around 12000 migrant labourers and their families of Jharkhand stuck at different parts of India due to sudden lockdown. \nCOVID AWARENESS COMPAIGN IN GUMLA \nWe also distributed free hand sanitizers and face masks and taught them the basics of self isolation in case they catch infection.
